These 5 mistakes many make with interval fasting

Intermittent fasting is all the rage, but it doesn't work for everyone. What is the reason for this? It's possible that one of the following errors is to blame!

If you want to shed a few pounds without putting in a lot of work, interval fasting is a good option. However, not everyone responds well to the fasting notion. If you're having trouble losing weight despite your best efforts with interval fasting, check to see if you're making one of the following mistakes:

1. you eat too much

Of course, after a long fasting period, the temptation to treat oneself to a fantastic pizza and then another enormous ice cream sundae is strong. Intermittent chamfering, on the other hand, is not free permission to smack the belly uninhibitedly - at least not if one wants to truly lose weight. Even when fasting, wholesome meals like fish and vegetables should be on the menu at all times. Also, avoid eating excessively large servings!

2. you have a lot of stress

Experts say that relaxation is equally as important as the meals you eat when it comes to weight loss. Stress elevates blood sugar levels and promotes fat storage by increasing the release of the hormone cortisol. So try to stay as stress-free as possible!

Extra tip: Studies reveal that getting too little sleep makes us hungrier. As a result, make sure you get seven to eight hours of sleep every night.

3. your fasting plan does not fit into your daily routine

Do you want to fast according to the 5:2 diet, but you can't keep yourself on your feet due to hunger on the two fasting days with a maximum of 500 calories a day?

Then this fasting approach is probably not for you! Look for a variation that you may easily include in your daily routine. If you can't eat in the morning, for example, you can use the 16:8 technique and take your first meal at lunchtime.

4. you don't move enough

Sure, most of us would like to stay at home on the couch and watch Netflix rather than go to the gym. Although, as irritating as it may be, it is possible to lose weight without exercising, it is quite difficult. You should exercise at least two to three times a week for at least thirty minutes each time to help your body burn calories.

5. you have no patience

Of course, while trying out a new weight-loss method, we all want to see immediate results. Intermittent fasting, on the other hand, is not a crash diet! Unfortunately, losing two kilograms will not happen overnight. Slow weight loss, on the other hand, is healthy and decreases the risk of the dreaded yo-yo effect. Allow at least two weeks for your body to acclimate to the new diet. Weight loss of up to 500 grams per week is considered healthy and sustainable by experts.
